Cookies and measurement

The newsroom does not set an advertising or analytics cookie itself. It uses daily, one-way visitor identifiers to deduplicate basic readership and campaign events; raw IP addresses are not stored in newsroom analytics. Those event records expire after 90 days when the housekeeping job is running.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable newsroom event tracking. YouTube loads only when you choose to play an embedded video. Google AdSense ad serving is currently paused while consent configuration is completed. When enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies for advertising, subject to applicable consent requirements. See our Privacy Policy for advertising choices.
